Chili Blooms!

Perfect edges line every petal
White as jasmine and cool as mint
Oh, wait till they turn to fruit
Taste the pepper hot sweat to heal!

Share & Spread the JOYFUL news about this book release!!!
'JOY of BEING' gets Raving Reviews...

In clear, pure, simple words, VeerajaR’s poems pay tribute to the divine.  She looks to the day by day natural world for evidence, taking butterflies, snowflakes......

Nothing seems so small it cannot evoke connection to God.

...... After reading this book, we understand why when asked: “O tell us, poet, what do you do?”  VeerajaR, like Rilke, might very well answer,  “I praise.”

A Tribute to Janice Elaine Keck

Janice, had been such an energetic and motivating person it is hard to assimilate the fact. She was like a lantern atop the hill for Williamson County---reached the community and people of all ages. Can't believe that ever welcoming warmth and smile is no more!

She lived like a flame kindling others hearts and aspirations. Like a flame she was swept away so suddenly and swiftly...
Thinking of Janice!

Of light atop the mountain---

Flame swept silently away

And up to heavens...

-A Poetry Tribute to Janice Keck by VeerajaR

But, Williamson county and the people of all ages, race and ethnicity whom she has touched with her service will continue to reap the benefits--gifts of her great soul! We may have lost a friend on earth, but gained an angel in heaven to lookout for us and our writer/artist aspirations and achievements!

Rasberries- Nature's Anti-Oxidant Capsules for Good Health!

What an accomplishment could it be... holding a handfull of rasberries? Oh, I am very proud! Starting with a small twig with three leaves that were contemplating whether to wither or not...my rasberry bush and I have come a longway! We are the resilient ones-with a little encouragement would sprout and fruit bountiful.

Collecting a handfull almost everyday is unbelievable, especially considering the bird population that visit our backyard. Usually, the berries are harvested-I mean pecked on, by the early risers (not sure who) and I find only the hidden ones. This is the first time (in five years) I am enjoying a full harvest and that makes me wonder who is missing in action.
As far as I could tell the doves seemed to have moved away following the arrival and nesting of the Hon. Hawk couple, in our neighborhood. The other regulars missing are the squirrels and the blue jays-I see them rarely now.
I have never minded sharing the berries with my backyard regulars- but, I am happy to enjoy my rasberry smoothies (healthy dose of Anti-oxidants) on a daily basis this year. Whoever the early morning fruit harvesters were, I like to think that they have found a better haven!
