Why Kill the Ants: Organic Solution!

Problem: Ants making a beeline (literally speaking) into the kitchen/house.

Ingredients: Vegetable oil, Vegetable oil, Vegetable oil!
                          or
                    any non-toxic cooking oil

Amount: A touch of finger tip
                       or
                     a drop
                       or
               as much as you need (which would be no more than
               a table spoon)

Fact: Ants follow one another's trail scent
         (& yes, touch-tone antennas!)

Procedure: Find where the ants are coming from (usually
                  kitchen sink windows/french windows) and
                  use VEGETABLE OIL streaks across their trail.
                 Yes, just like check points across along their path.

(Optional Step: If you are interested, just watch!)

Expected (based on my observed) Results:
                 The ants will get confused and disperse!!!
 (Don't take credit now... It's not because you are watching)

Rationale/Explanation: It is because the scented track is
interrupted and the ants cannot trace their colleagues'
scent trail...


Comments: Problem solved organic way--
                   An organic Solution!
                   Yes, pun intended!

                  Works for me every time!!!
I mean not the pun... the organic solution to not killing ants
and sending them away in search of better
and more welcoming sources!

Strong Measures: If too many ants...
wipe off along the whole trail with Oil again.
They would not be able to trace the path at all
and go somewhere else.

Note:
Make sure "the somewhere else" is not inside the house.
This is why it helps to locate where they are entering
from/through, etc.

*Lesson of the Day: 
Oil is disruptive to hard work, peaceful heartfelt....
      communication and team effort!!!

Did I forget to mention it applies to the ant world?
Never mind... they live in our world anyway!

Mule Festival & Wagons Parade

Another hidden treasure of Tennessee...

and a MUST see event.

An annual tradition following the 1800's active Mule Trading Market place @ 7th str. in Columbia, TN. Mules of all sizes, with manes and tussles pulling ancient wagons of various styles was a magnificent sight indeed!

Did I mention the Beauty Queens and Cowboy Marshals...?

One of my great investment 10 years ago: A dehydrator.

Very versatile. that means you can dehydrate anything you want. Instead of frying most sliced vegetables can be dehydrated and added to a meal like chips or made into powder.

Today, I'm doing Apples. Chips will be ready tomorrow to munch on...

Pope Francis: for Peace & the Poor!

What a joyous Day!
We have a new pope:Pope Francis I! He is going to be great as he's been in touch with the poor. He was so humble: asked for and accepted the people's prayer for him before he blessed the people-- what an understanding of the "One and All... in GOD."

This pope is first  for many:

A pope from S. America

A Jesuit

First to take up the name of St.Francis. What a great message and promise he is already giving the people... Poor and the oppressed need a voice to petition on earth and to the heavens.

Poor will be blessed and Peace will reign!

God is glorious!

Simply amazing!

Thanks to my son "J", my birds are finally feeding out of my hands.

Because my birds were free since day one, they had no idea who provided for them or cared for them.

All what my son "J" did was... make the birds realize I am the one caring for them!

Is that what it takes for us to get close to GOD???
